JAMMU, Sept 30: A teenage boy drowned in Tawi River at Har Ki Pauri area here today.
Around 1:30 PM, police received information that one Nitin (15) son of Kamal of Uttar Pradesh at present Rajiv Nagar, Jammu, slipped into the river while bathing near Har Ki Pauri area, a police official said.

Accordingly, a team of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu reached at the spot, pulled the teenager out of the river, and later shifted him to Government Medical College Jammu, where the team of doctors declared him dead on arrival, he said.
“As the family members of the deceased boy didn’t show any suspicion in his death, his body was handed over to them for performing the last rites after conducting the legal formalities,” added the police official.
