JAMMU, Apr 14: Tech-Fest under the name “Technomania-2016” which started on April 13 at Tawi Technical Campus, Shahpur Kandi (Punjab), concluded today.
Dinesh Singh, Deputy Speaker, Punjab, presided over the function as chief guest. The function started with the welcome address by Col Hari Singh, Administrative Officer of the Institution, who gave a brief of the long journey of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions in the field of Technical education.
Er Vidhi S Singh Jamwal briefed the chief guest about the intimate concern of Jamwal Group to extend their support to the needy and especially the weaker sections of the society.
On this occasion, Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, vice-chairman, Er Renu Bangroo, Managing Director and the staff of Tawi Technical Campus, were also present. More than 1500 students and staff members attended the function.
Students from different Colleges viz Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), Institute of Engineering &Computer Sciences (IECS), North Polytechnic (NP), Jammu and Sri Sai Institute of Technology, Badhani, Pathankot, participated in various events organized by the College.
The Deputy Speaker appreciated the College authorities for their excellent performance in the field of Technical Education. He impressed upon the need of quality education, so that the young technocrats may get comfortably and suitably placed in corporate world.
On this occasion “Ranjit Bawa” known Punjabi singer entertained the audience with his melodious voice which was enjoyed by the audience.
The chief guest also gave away prizes to the winners of various events organized in the Tech-Fest.
