JAMMU, July 13: Highlighting their demands, teachers under the banner of J&K Teachers Coordination Committee, held a strong protest demonstration, here today.
A number of teachers from different districts assembled near Press Club Jammu under the banner of J&K Teacher Co-ordination Committee- joint platform of teacher organizations comprising J&K School Teachers Association, JKSSA Teacher Forum, all Teachers Association J&K and staged a strong protest demonstration against the lackadaisical attitude of State Government toward the genuine demands of teaching community.
The protesters, under the leadership of Hari Singh, Yonus Rahi, Mrignayani Slathia, Rajiv Kumar and Joginder Kumar Digra, raised slogans by carrying placards in favour of their demands.
They were demanding release of salary of Masters posted as Head Teachers and their arrears of 7th Pay Commission, release of pending salary and arrears of RRETS, regularization of all ReTs who have completed their five year service, regularization of all Incharge Lecturers, Headmasters and others officers, transfer of all Teachers, Masters, Lecturers and Head Masters who have completed their tenure in far-flung areas, removal of pay anomaly in grade of Under Graduate Teachers, revoking DDC Kishtwar’s order no. 36-DDCKlFY20 Dated 17-06-2019 regarding attendance certificate and holding DPC after every six months of all cadres.
The speakers on the occasion, appealed the authorities to concede to the demands at an earliest otherwise teaching community will be compelled to resort to further agitation.
Those who addressed the gathering, included Hari Singh, Yonus Rahi, Roop Chand, Raj Kumar, Rashpal Singh, Bashir Hussian, Kanta Jamwal, Anju Saini, Balwant Singh, Pardeep Singh, Sunil Thapa and Siraju Din.
