Teachers missing after deployment on poll duty

RAJOURI, Mar 30: Sixteen employees of School Education Department went missing after their deployment on election duty.
According to the information, two Lecturers, one Master and 13 Teachers of the School Education Department were deployed in the Election Cell in DC office Rajouri on the orders of the DC. But they did not reach the duty and remained absent without any permission.
Taking cognizance of the matter, Electoral Registration Officer and ACR Rajouri Jahangir Ahmed Khan relieved the erring official from the Election Cell and issued them instructions to return to their schools for routine duty. However, these Lecturers, Masters and Teachers also did not report for duty even in their respective schools.

According to the notice issued by CEO Rajouri Mushtaq Ahmed, 16 employees who neither reached the Election Cell for duty nor attended the schools to teach the children, are still missing and there are no whereabouts of them.
The CEO, following the instructions of the DC, has issued a show cause notice to all the 16 missing officials and has sought their reply within two days with a strict warning of legal action if no satisfactory reply is submitted within stipulated time.
Those missing included Lecturer Higher Secondary School Pidi Naheem Fatima, Lecturer Higher Secondary School Prodi Yashpal Sharma, Lecturer Higher Secondary School Dungi Sudesh Kumar, Master High School Dhara Sanwala Sajid Iqbal, Teacher Primary School Barsala Abdul Shakur, Middle School Dhangri Anshi Sudan, High School Potha Jabina Akhtar, Middle School Birthpuri Shazia Kosar, Middle School Behrote Asiya Rashid, Primary School Dhara Pathana Zahida Akhtar, Middle School Rajouri Nahida Tabsoom, Middle School Upper Color Sonal Vaid, Primary School Nabani Rahat Jabeen, Primary School Neeli Dabi Shamim Akhtar, Junior Assistant High School Sawni, Sumit Kumar, Middle School Upper Color Nargis Wahid.
