Teachers Forum Udhampur highlights issues, demands

UDHAMPUR, Apr 3: The All Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (AJKTF), District Udhampur, held a virtual meeting of its executive members under the chairmanship of District President Aakash Bharti.
State President Mohd Ashraf Sheikh highlighted the current educational scenario and organisational priorities. Highlighting the TET issue, he informed that the Teachers Forum has already submitted representations to the Government, urging it to file a review petition to provide relief to the teaching community. He expressed hope for an early and positive response.
The meeting discussed several issues, including early filing of the review petition on TET, filling up vacant posts of ZEOs, Principals and Headmasters, conducting DPCs to address stagnation, clearing pending one-time exemption cases, Annual Transfer Drive (ATD), especially in District Udhampur, and implementation of a comprehensive transfer policy for ReT teachers on the lines of Ladakh.
Among those, who participated in the meeting, included Gulshan Sharma, Sandeep Bhat, Raman Kumar, Vikee Pandita, Vinod Sharma, Romesh Kumar, Rashmi Jamwal, Madan Lal, Satish Kumar, Ajay Sharma, Subash, Gagan Sharma, Tariq and others.
