JAMMU, Feb 13: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, State general secretary JKTF, to discuss various problems being faced by the teaching community.
While addressing the meeting, Ganesh Khajuria expressed strong resentment over the frequent orders being issued by the Education authorities to effect transfers of all cadres of teaching community of Summer and Winter zones before end of February.
“At this crucial juncture when studies are at peak and exams are also taking place while Lecturers, Masters and Teachers are engaged in Board exams , the transfers at this time will create mess in the working of Education Department. The transfers of winter Zones may be affected according to the previous Government order as there are winter breaks in these schools but in summer zones this will prove harmful for the teaching community and the department,” he said.

He appealed the authorities of Education Department to affect the transfers of teaching fraternity during summer vacation as per the past practice otherwise the transfers at this time will badly hamper the educational scenario in Summer Zone.
