JAMMU, May 21: A delegation of the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), led by its chief patron Ganesh Khajuria, met Naseem Javaid Choudhary, Director School Education Jammu and discussed several significant and long-pending issues of the education sector.
The delegation comprised senior state, provincial, and district-level office bearers of JKTF. During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on a wide range of critical matters concerning the teaching fraternity, non-teaching staff, and the student community.
Key issues raised by JKTF included; promotion of left-out Masters as Headmasters, holding of one more round of DPC meetings for promotion from Teachers to Masters across all districts, early conduct of long-pending DPCs for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) 2025, etc.
JKTF also drew attention to various service-related concerns of clerical staff, lab assistants, and other non-teaching employees, such as promotions, regularization, and timely redressal of grievances.
The Forum also raised concern regarding inadequate infrastructure, lack of digital tools, and shortage of teaching staff in remote and border areas, which directly affect the learning outcomes of students. The delegation highlighted the need for timely distribution of textbooks, uniforms, and other basic facilities to students.
Director School Education Jammu, Naseem Javaid Choudhary, assured the delegation that all the raised matters would be taken up with utmost seriousness and priority.
The delegation comprised of Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Subash Chander, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Kuldeep Verma, Gurnam Singh, P D Singh, Gautam Singh, Rashpal Singh Choudhary, Shankar Singh, Ashwani Sharma, Subash Sharma, Raman Deep, Gurmeet Singh, Radhey Shyam, Mohinder Singh, and others.
