JAMMU, July 29: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, under the leadership of Chief Patron Ganesh Khajuria along with S Surat Singh Toofani, Kuldeep Singh Bandral and others met Dr Naseem Javed Choudhary, Director School Education, Jammu in his office chamber to invite attention towards the very crucial & burning issues being faced by teaching fraternity of the Jammu Division.
The Forum strongly demanded immediate Annual Transfer Drive – 2025 under the existing Transfer Policy to transfer all the aggrieved employees who have been serving in far flung areas for the last several years.
The Forum further said that adjustment of the Teachers in the schools of their choice and that too in the heart of Jammu city on the pretext of rationalization needs to be stopped.
JKTF also demanded DPC of all the cadres in the School Education Department, streamlining the process of withdrawal of salaries of Masters working under erstwhile SSA posts, regularisation of different cadres of the employees of School Education Department, entitlement of the benefits of the Earned Leave to those teachers who have attended the summer camps, restoration of the regular calendar of summer vacations for two months & winter vacations for 15 days in the summer zone schools of Jammu Division.
The Director School Education, Jammu gave a patient hearing and informed that the department has been working on the issue of ATD and rationalisation and will bring out a solution before 15th of August, 2025.
JKTF warned that if these demands are not fulfilled, the teachers will be compelled to protest for the rights of the employees of the Education Department
Those who were a part of the delegation included P D Singh, Gautam Singh, Subash Singh, Yash Pal Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Bishan Lal Sharma, Iqvinder Pal Singh, Rakesh Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Ramandeep Sharma, Ashok Kumar Master, Subash Sharma, Mohinder Singh, Om Parkash, Ashwani Sharma, Shanti Saroop Sharma and others.
