UDHAMPUR, Aug 14: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation, under the banner of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, has demanded Vigilance probe into recent transfers of Masters in School Education Department.
A meeting of the Federation was held here today under the chairmanship of District president Udhampur, K L Gupta while agenda of the meeting was to discuss the transfer list of Master grade of Udhampur District, issued by the Director School Education Jammu on August 12, 2006.
All the members alleged that it was the murder of the so called transfer policy of the School Education Department as the relatives of politicians, bureaucrats and those having monetary relation with the transfer nexus have been transferred within zero to 10 kilometers distance from the District headquarters, whereas those who were posted more than 30 kms away, were now transferred beyond 80 kms from the District headquarters.
“The so called transfer mela remained a flop show and the School Education authorities are befooling the entire teaching fraternity, particularly innocent teachers who are dedicated, hard working, honest and   intelligent but having no political/bureaucratic relations and monetary relations with the transfer nexus,” they said.
Alleging that the transfer mafia was still operating in the School Education Department with new faces breaking records of their predecessors, the Federation   appealed the Chief Minister to personally look into the matter and order a Vigilance probe in recent transfers.
The meeting was attended by Ravi Kumar (vice-president), Rakesh Kumar (organizer), Rakesh Sharma (convenor), Radha Krishan (district secretary), Surinder Mohan (Zonal president Ghordi), Vijay Kumar and others.
