JAMMU, Mar 11: Two deputations of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee ( JKTJAC) and General Lines Teachers Forum called on Director School Education Jammu, Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary in his office Chamber here today and projected issues of teaching fraternity.
While interacting Vinod Sharma (President-JAC) raised the burning issues of the teaching fraternity which include-inclusion of teachers appointed under ReT scheme in ATD by making comprehensive transfer policy: ReT teachers be transferred within the district; one time exemption in favour of undergraduate teachers who have pursued their graduation; issuance of regularisation orders of the ReTs whose files are lying in the office of DSEJ for a long time; conversion of RETs to Teachers Grade II / III; issuance of mutual transfer list of teachers appointed under ReT scheme; allocation of substantive posts to the teachers Grade II as per their seniority; taking up matter with Board of School Education authorities for providing all titles of free supply of books as session has been started in winter zones and DPC of teachers to masters to overcome stagnation etc.
Director gave a patient hearing and assured to redress the issues raised by the JKTJAC leadership.
Surjit Chib, Rajesh Jamwal, Sham Parkash, Sukesh Khajuria, Naresh Sharma, Khazan Singh, Lekh Raj Parihar, Subash Chander, Sajad Malik, Ravinder Manhas abd others accompanied.
Meanwhile, another deputation of the General Line Teacher Forum called on Director School Education, Jammu Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary today and raised issues of the teachers.
Led by its president, Neeraj Sharma, they submitted a comprehensive memorandum outlining critical issues affecting the teaching community.
They demanded immediate release of salaries for newly promoted Masters, re-evaluation of the criteria for Master Grade promotion, introduction of a new, transparent transfer policy. regularization of In-Charge (I/C) teachers, conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for MTS to Junior Assistants and addressing the issue of class size in Higher Secondary Schools.
In a swift and decisive response, Director issued immediate instructions for the release of pending salaries for surplus masters, providing much-needed financial relief to affected educators. He assured the delegation of his commitment to addressing the remaining concerns.
The delegation included Tajinder Singh, Digvijay Singh, Ramneesh Khajuria, Himmat Sharma, Amit Dabgotra, Sanjeev Rakwal, Madan Mohan Surinder Singh, Dr. Sudesh and others.
