DODA, Apr 20: Police here today arrested a school teacher for allegedly demanding sexual favours from a minor student.
Action against the teacher, posted at Government Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah, was taken following registration of a complaint.
Sources informed that the accused sent messages to the student seeking sexual favours for facilitating admission in medical stream at a Punjab college.
They further informed that the teacher allegedly threatened the student to not to disclose the matter to anyone, otherwise she would never pass internal examination.
A case under relevant sections of law including those of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered against the accused at Bhaderwah Police Station and investigation has been started.
