DODA, Jan 11: The Members of Thathri Development Front (TDF), today appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to sanction STRC bus service from Doda to Joura-Halaran and Doda to Chiralla areas.
In a press statement issued, the members of front, Ram Rattan Manhas, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Om Raj Bhall and Kanwar Jeet Singh Thakur, said that the regular SRTC bus service was started from Halaran to Doda , back in 2016 but due to the negligence of the conductor and the Driver of the bus it could not continue.
This had mitigated the difficulties of the people of this area including four Panchayats Joura Kalan, Joura Khurd, Halaran and Houja-Jia.
They also demanded the bus service from Doda to Tanta, two SRTC buses from Jammu to Halaran Joura and Halaran-Joura to Jammu daily and two SRTC buses from Jammu to Chiralla Tehsil Headquarter and from Chiralla to Jammu daily.
The members also demanded for the widening and black topping of road stretches from Bhatola to Halaran- Joura Khurd , Halaran Morh to Sichal-Goila, Sultan Morh to Surunga -Joura Kalan, Punaja to Chiralla, Thathri to Jangalwar- Chirra and Punaja to Bhallara.
They said that the crores of rupees have been spent on these roads but no buses are plying on these roads.
