JAMMU, June 6: Thathri Development Front (TDF) has demanded a separate Tourism Development Authority for Sub-Division Thathri, as the Sub-Division has five Tehsils of its own which have been allegedly ignored by the successive State Governments.
In a handout TDF members have appealed PM Modi; J&K LG, Manoj Sinha; CM, Omar Abdullah; MP, Dr. Jitendra Singh and the concerned MLA Daleep Singh Parihar regarding the demand.
They claimed that no tourist spots have been developed in Sub-Division Thathri and the places like Jantron Dhar, Mata Rashwar Temple and Lamote Dhar in Sub-Division Thathri can be easily developed as tourist attraction spots.
The Front members said that Kahara Jai road, which is complete up to Joura Kalan needs to be completed to Lambi Jai and it will not only provide employment to the poor people of the area but will also boost tourism.
They also emphasized that completion of Halaran- Khatassu road and linking the Halaran-Khatassu road with Badano would complete the road circuit and it will boost tourism and will also provide employment to thousands of unemployed people.
