JAMMU, June 21: The election to various posts of Tax Bar Association (TBA) was held in the Tax Bar premises, Excise and Taxation Complex, Rail Head Complex, Jammu, under the supervision of election officers, Advocate Rattan Lal Gupta, Advocate Sunil Sharma and Advocate Vishal Gupta.
Advocate Riaz Ahmed Buchh was re-elected for 2nd consecutive term for the post of president. He secured 41 votes against his opponent Advocate Vinod Kumar Suri, who got only 34 votes. For the post of senior vice-president, Advocate Khem Raj Sharma was elected unopposed.
For the post of vice-president, Advocate Amit Gupta had a clean sweep by securing 49 votes against his rival Advocate Suraj Singh Wazir, who got only 26 votes in his pool. Advocate Sachin Sharma and Advocate Rohit Gupta got elected unopposed for the post of general secretary and joint secretary cum cashier respectively.
The newly elected members took the oath in the presence of the senior members of the Bar and pledged to work for the upliftment and welfare of the Tax Bar Association, Jammu.
