Mendhar, Dec 11: Taxi Union in Mendhar, led by president Kafeel Khan, staged a protest at the bus stand against ARTO Poonch, accusing him of allowing illegal buses to operate on the Mendhar-Poonch route.
The Union claimed these buses run without valid permits, impacting their livelihood. Passengers also alleged that some drivers drive under the influence of alcohol raising safety concerns.
Union members demanded to stop these buses. They announced plans to submit a written complaint and warned of further protests if the issue is not resolved.
