JAMMU, July 16: As a part of ongoing campus placement drive, Tata Steel conducted online recruitment test for the students of electrical and mechanical branches at North Polytechnic, Purkhoo (Domana) here today.
More than hundred students from these two branches took part in the drive. The recruitment drive started with a power point presentation about company’s history and its operation by the representative of Tata Steel, Rahul Khurana and his team experts, followed by technical on-line test, logical test and behaviour test. On spot results were also declared.
Prof R K Sharma, Principal North Polytechnic said that such a campus placement drive is a need of the hour to cater to the employment and to explore new employment avenues in multi-national companies by Polytechnic students. Ajay Singh Jamwal, head -training & placement apprised that short listed candidates will be interviewed by HR personnel of Tata Steel shortly. Earlier, the Polytechnic students also got placed in many other companies like Alcatrel Lucent- a Fresh MNC in Telecom sector, Larson & Turbo, Intex Industries, Spectro Pvt Ltd, Punj Lloyed Ltd. HCL Infosystem, Wipro and Maruti Sazuki Ltd etc through campus placement drive.
