Tarigami’s concern over Anganwari officials

SRINAGAR, Jan 21: CPI (M) State Secretary, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed concern over the delay in disbursal of honorarium to Anganwari officials in the State.
In a statement, Tarigami has said that ineptness of the administration has badly affected schemes meant for women and children run by Anganwari officials in the State. He said the procedural wrangling leading to delay in the disbursement of pending wages to Anganwari workers and helpers should be removed at the earliest.
Tarigami said the Central Government had announced revised rates of honorarium in favour of the Anganwari workers and helpers in April 2011 under various categories of workers and helpers. He said the delay in release of arrears has caused great resentment among these workers and helpers, thereby forcing them to come on streets.
