Tarigami for dialogue with PDD employees

SRINAGAR, Oct 11: State Secretary of CPI (M) Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has stressed for meaningful dialogue with the electrical employees so that the grievances of these employees are addressed.
In a statement, Tarigami said that problems may come up after the Government decision to unbundled the Power Development Department. He said the electrical employees need to be engaged in result oriented talks so that their genuine concerns are addressed. He said the stakeholders are taken on board by the Government before they embark upon the journey of reforming the system.
Tarigami said that the issues of health insurance, amendment in service rules and defining working hours are genuine demands of the electrical employees. He said Government should not have any hesitation in fulfilling these demands of the employees. He said accommodation and flexibility should be made benchmark in the parleys to avoid any kind of prolonged confrontation.
