Targeting 30 border posts, not a minor ceasefire violation: Omar

SRINAGAR :  With repeated motor shelling from across the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) in Jammu region, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today said targeting 30 border posts across three districts, injuring civilians is not a minor ceasefire violation at all.
”Thirty Border posts across three districts targeted, civilians injured & livestock killed. This isn’t a minor ceasefire violation at all!,” Mr Abdullah, who is also the working president of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
At least five civilians were injured in overnight ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Jammu region’s Samba and Kathua district.
Meanwhile, officials said there were 203 ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops on IB and LoC up to September 18 this year in which 14 people, 13 live stocks were killed and 50 houses damaged.
During 2014, there were 190 ceasefire violations by Pakistan troops while in 2013 the number was 229, they said. (UNI)
