SAMBA, Mar 26 : Under the supervision of SSP Samba Benam Tosh and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, police has arrested a ‘Tantrik’ for attempting to commit rape on a private school teacher.
The arrested ‘Tantrik’ has been identified as Pawan Kumar son of Mohan Lal of Dabuj Kaka tehsil Ramgarh district Samba. Upon the written complaint of a private school teacher, a case under sections 376/511 IPC was registered at Police Station, Ramgarh and investigation is going on.
Accused ‘Tantrik’ was arrested by a team of officers comprising of PSI Ravi Kant, SHO Ramgarh, Sudesh Kumar and SDPO, Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba Benam Tosh said that police is dealing with crime against women seriously in Samba district and all accused , against whom complaints of molestation, attempt to rape and rape are lodged and proved after thorough investigation, shall be arrested under law.
