Taj inaugurates PHE’s Online Monitoring Lab

SRINAGAR, Sept 18: Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Taj Mohi-ud-Din inaugurated the Online Monitoring Lab at PHE headquarters here today.
The lab will help in online reporting of schematic data of all the PHE works to State and Central Governments for effective monitoring.
Besides, the lab will also facilitate regular transfer and consolidation of data of tests conducted at divisional testing laboratories of the Department.
Interacting with engineers and officers on the occasion, the Minister said the objective of setting up the lab has been to monitor the works in a transparent manner. He asked the engineers to continuously update their data and comply with the deadlines already set.
On the occasion, a brief presentation regarding the data entry was made. It was revealed that out of 2287 PHE schemes in 10 districts of the Kashmir valley, 989 schemes have been completed while as 1302 schemes are in various stages of completion. It was also given out that the mapping of all the villages where project reports of PHE schemes have been prepared has been done and its ratio to all census villages stands at 70%.
