JAMMU, Dec 31 : Reflecting their commitment towards the welfare and well-being of senior citizens, a team from Sandiksha (SWWA), Sector Headquarters, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) today paid a meaningful visit to the Home for the Aged & Infirm, in Jammu.
The team was led by its president Monika Slaria and deputy Commandant Jagbhushan Singh.
During the visit, the team interacted warmly with the inmates and demonstrated generous support by donating a juicer, an idli maker and cash to the Home, aimed at enhancing daily services and nutritional support for the residents.
The members also joined the inmates during lunchtime and took a comprehensive visit of the entire complex to gain firsthand insight into the facilities and living conditions.
Special visits were made to the Home’s dispensary and physiotherapy centre, where the team interacted with doctors and staff to understand the medical and rehabilitative care being provided to the residents.
On the occasion, the Secretary of the Home, Dr Dinesh Gupta, briefed the delegation on the overall functioning, management practices and welfare-oriented initiatives of the Home.
He highlighted the dedicated efforts being made to ensure dignified living, healthcare, and emotional support for the elderly inmates.
The SWWA team expressed immense happiness and satisfaction after witnessing the arrangements, discipline, and compassionate care extended to the residents.
They appreciated the management and staff for maintaining high standards of service and humane values.
