JAMMU, Apr 17: In order to provide some sort of relief to the militancy victims and orphan children of the State who are being looked after by Borderless World Foundation, (BWF) the Samajik Vikas Sansthan organized a function here at Colonel Colony Talab Tillo today in which the stationary items and other study material was distributed among the children.
The function was chaired by Surinder Ambardar MLC who was the chief guest while Development Commissioner, Works Bimal Tickoo was the guest of honour.
The Samajik Vikas Sansthan led by Kuldeep Raina as usual this year also distributed study material among these children. Some volunteers of the society also announced some sort of help to the Borderless World Foundation which has provided shelter to these hapless children and also taken up the onus of their schooling etc.
Speaking on the occasion both Mr Ambardar and Mr Tickoo exhorted these children to work hard to niche a carve for themselves in the society so that they can become the useful citizens of nation tomorrow. They said the society owes a responsibility towards these children and the social organizations like Borderless World Foundation is performing a great job in looking after these children by not only providing shelter to them but also arranging good schooling for them.
Speaking on the occasion chairman SVS, Kuldeep Raina highlighted the objective of his organization and said that with the support of its patron Dr Maharaj Krishan Razdhan the SVS has taken up various projects in hand in the State for the betterment of the society as a whole.
He said Rs 25 lakh were spent by Dr Razdhan for reconstruction works at Zeathyar, Sriangar. Besides shrine of Peer Pandit Padshah was constructed in Srinagar Kashmir, Kriya Ghat at Muthi Jammu, Gopi Tirath at Nishat Srinagar and various other shrines in Valley, he added.
He announced that organization will set up a professional college in Jammu soon.
S L Bhan, M K Pandita senior members of SVS, Rajni Mahajan Trustee of BWF, Dr Parimoo president Colonel Colony, Ashok Kangan a social activist, M L Bhat and Nana Ji Raina ex Sarpanch were present on the occasion.
