SRINAGAR, Aug 12: The State Vigilance Commission has issued show cause notice to SP (South) Jammu for his alleged disobedience of direction of the Commission.
The SVC, which met under the chair of the Chief Vigilance Commissioner at Jammu today, took a serious note of the disobedience and issued a notice to the officer directing him to show cause as to why action under relevant provisions of J&K Vigilance Commission Act/Rules may not be initiated against him for defying orders of the Commission.
The SP concerned has further been directed to appear before the Commission at Srinagar in person along with explanation and requisite report as already asked for on August 17, 2016.
The DIG Jammu and SSP Jammu have been asked to ensure the personal appearance of the Superintendent of Police, along with present status report of case FIR No. 100/2012 on next date of hearing fixed for August 17, 2016.
