JAMMU, Apr 23: The full State Vigilance Commission (SVC) today received the detailed report from the Vigilance Organisation pertaining to illegal and backdoor appointments made in the Legislative Assembly previously and decided to examine it in detail including the circumstances that led the Vigilance to file closure of the complaint before the High Court.
Official sources said the Vigilance officials, dealing and supervising with the complaint, who had been summoned by the full three members of SVC today for explanation, appeared before the Commission and submitted detailed report.
The SVC has asked the officers to again appear before it on May 6 after re-opening of Darbar Move in Srinagar as by that time the Commission would examine the report.
It may be mentioned here that the full Commission had summoned the Vigilance officials for filing closure report before the High Court without approval of the Vigilance Commission.
The High Court had also expressed anguish over the closure complaint alleging illegal and backdoor appointments in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat and MLA Hostels. The High Court, while issuing directions for reopening of the case, had made it clear that fresh probe shall be completed within a period of two months.
