Suspension of JU students: ABVP begins chain hunger strike

JAMMU, Oct 29:Demanding revocation of suspension of three students in Jammu University, ABVP today began a chain hunger strike.
One of the suspended students, Deepak Gupta  was the first one to sit on  chain hunger strike in front of the JU Main Gate, this morning. He was accompanied by several ABVP activists, who delivered speeches on the occasion and reiterated their demand for immediate revocation of  the suspension.
The ABVP  leaders also demanded action against HoD Physical Education, Prof Dhiyan Singh Bhau, who had allegedly manhandled the student on October 13 evening during protest on the campus.
Meanwhile, the five-member inquiry committee is learnt to have issued the chargesheet to three suspended students, who were prima facie found guilty of resorting to violence and misbehaviour during ABVP protest on October 13.
