SRINAGAR: A suspected militant who was planning to target security personnel and snatch their weapons has been arrested from Kulgam district, the police said today.
Roshan Zameer Bhat, a resident of Nowpora was held based on an information that members of terror outfits –Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Toiba–were planning to carry out attacks on security personnel to snatch their weapons, a police spokesman said.
On being interrogated, the accused disclosed that he had kept the illegally acquired explosive material at his residence, the police said. (AGENCIES)
