JAMMU, Apr 14: The surgical services will be started with effect from April 16 at MCH Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The decision was taken during a meeting of various departmental heads and their representatives, which was chaired today by Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma, Principal and Dean, Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals, Jammu, in his office chamber.
It was decided that all the concerned HoDs i.e. HoD Surgery/Ortho/Anaesthesia/ENT/Paediatric shall conduct one round of the MCH Gandhi Nagar within one day for timely making up the deficits with regard to machinery/equipment and manpower, and the same shall be filled-up from their parent department, for starting surgical services in MCH Gandhi Nagar from April 16.
The meeting decided that all concerned HoDs shall also ensure availability of staff in MCH Gandhi Nagar from their existing staff working in the departments, as per rosters for the management of respective patients to be operated/treated in MCH Gandhi Nagar.
The Principal directed Medical Superintendent MCH Gandhi Nagar to prepare a list in consultation with the HoDs/officers with respect to the staff deputed from Super Speciality Hospital Jammu to MCH Gandhi Nagar for running of both the clinical and administrative services.
It was decided that all SOPs/guidelines shall remain in force while conducting surgical procedures/treatment of the patients.
