AKHNOOR, Feb 4: Senior BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member, Pandit Suresh Sharma here today inaugurated a newly constructed lane built at a cost of Rs. 8 lakh in village Chankadi of Panchayat Keour in Block Maira Mandrian.
The lane was a long-pending demand of the local residents, which has now been fulfilled.
During his visit, Suresh Sharma toured the Panchayat area and listened to the public grievances. Locals there apprised him of various issues faced by them. Taking immediate cognizance, he directed the concerned departmental officers to resolve the issues at the earliest. He also reviewed the ongoing development works in the Panchayat.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Sharma said over the past five years, sincere efforts have been made to address public demands and ensure their fulfilment and these efforts will continue in future as well.
He emphasized that under the leadership of PM Modi, Central Government’s welfare schemes are being implemented effectively to ensure that benefits reach the last person in the society. He reiterated that no area should be deprived of basic amenities.
Those who were present on the occasion were BJP leaders Ramlal Sharma, Bodhraj Sharma, Vijay Kumar Shastri, Som Dutt, Rattan Singh, Sanjay Singh, Sanju, concerned departmental officers and prominent citizens of the area.
