JAMMU, Nov 28: Minister for Culture, Horticulture and Housing Raman Bhalla today assured the people that if his party is voted to power again, a new phase of development will be started in the Gandhi Nagar constituency as the party gives the priority to the prosperity and development of the State.
Addressing largely attended election meetings in Nanak Nagar, Gangyal, Upper Gadi Garh, Kunjwani, Preet Nagar, Channi and Trikuta Nagar areas, Minister said that Congress is committed for the equitable development of all three regions of J&K and in the forthcoming Assembly elections, Congress would emerge with thumping majority to form the next Government in the State to serve the people.
Congress always stood for the welfare and upliftment of common man and fought for their legitimate rights, he said, adding that decisive forces are exploiting the poor people and down trodden sections of the society by showing them such dreams, which they cannot fulfill.
He termed these decisive forces as dream sellers and hollow slogan mongers as the leaders of these parties just appear during electioneering and after elections, disappear.
Minister apprised the people about the developmental works carried out by the Congress party during the last six years tenure. He said that the educational infrastructure, power and water infrastructure, road connectivity, health infrastructure, sports infrastructure, etc in every area falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar constituency have witnessed large scale changes,
“In Gandhi Nagar constituency, there were only two Higher Secondary Schools and presently the constituency is having around 15 Higher Secondary Schools, which are catering to the needs of thousands of students at their doorsteps. All this happened due to the positive approach, sincerity and dedication of the Congress party towards the people, Minister asserted.
Seeking vote for Congress party, Bhalla asked the people to make best use of their vote in the forthcoming Assembly elections to elect honest, dedicated and people friendly representative.
