Srinagar, Oct 14: President of the Private Schools Association, J&K, G.N. Var, today urged the Government to exempt budget schools from NoC requirements and to reinstate the special grants and assistance that were available in the past.
Speaking at the inauguration of New Career Convent School’s (NCCS) second branch in Fateh Kadal, Var highlighted that the area is home to many families struggling financially, facing challenges in providing education for their children.
“I urge the Government to financially support these budget schools, as they cater to underprivileged families,” he said.
He emphasized that these schools should be allowed to operate similarly to Government schools.
“At the same time, the special grants and assistance that were available to such institutions in the past should be reinstated.”
Var also commended the school administration for taking bold steps to ensure that these children receive modern, quality education.
“Schools like these, which have been serving communities since the 1990s, have produced a large number of professionals, including doctors, engineers, officers, and Government servants,” he said.
He urged the school to maintain high educational standards despite financial challenges. “I also ask for continued support from the community, as these schools not only provide education but also create local employment opportunities.”
