SAMBA, Nov 27: One person was killed and 21 others injured when a bus carrying passengers rammed into a pillar of an under-construction flyover on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway here on Thursday.
Police said, the incident occurred near the Bari Brahmana area when the bus, en route to Kathua from Jammu, slammed into the pillar before hitting a motorcycle after the driver lost control due to over speeding.

Shortly after the mishap took place, police and rescue teams launched a quick operation. All the injured were quickly shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment.
Most of the injured are said to be in stable condition, while a few seriously injured patients are being kept under medical observation.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation. The deceased has been identified as (Motorcyclist) Roop Lal, son of Sain Dass of Dhyansar Kartholi, Samba while injured have been identified as Deep Kumar son of Krishan Chand of Billawar, Roshan Kumar, son of Ravinder Kumar of Mirzapur U.P at present Jallo chak, Satesh Kumar, son of Thodu Ram of Roopnagar Bihar, Indubala, wife of Satish Kumar, Shivanya, son of Satish Kumar, Sourav Kumar son of Upender Kumar of Bihar at present Central University Jammu, Kritshnagyal, son of Koshal Kumar of Central University Jammu, Raj Kumar, son of Balak Ram of Vijaypur, Samba, Ali Noor, son of Shahab Din of UP at present Bari Brahmana, Dave Verma, son of Himanshu Verman of West Bengal, Shalu, son of Ashok Singh of Mean Charka, Bari Brahmana, Rayan son of Ab Hakim of Teli Basti Bari Brahmana, Ansh Deep, son of Rakesh Kumar of Gurdaspur Punjab, Chuni Lal of R.S Pura, Suresh also of R.S Pura, Sweety of Kujwani, Alka Sambyal, wife of Dalbir Singh of Ward No. 07 Bari Bahmana, Mangal Dass, son of Omparkash of Ganalli R.S Pura and Riya Mehra daughter of Pawan Kumar of Murare Chak Bari Brahmana Samba.
