JAMMU, Sept 2: Godrej Agrovet Limited, a leading diversified agri-business in India, has announced that Sunil Kataria has formally assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of the company, effective Sept 1, 2025, for a tenure of five years.
Kataria, who was appointed as CEO and MD-designate in May 2025, brings with him over two decades of experience in marketing, sales and leadership roles with leading organizations such as Marico Limited, Godrej Consumer Products Limited and Raymond Limited.
Nadir Godrej, Chairman and Managing Director of Godrej Industries Limited, welcomed the appointment, stating, “With a wealth of experience in building businesses across challenging operational contexts, Sunil is aligned with our intent to scale up Godrej Agrovet’s different businesses while prioritizing profitability and strengthening our brand offerings.”
Balram Singh Yadav, who served as MD of Godrej Agrovet till August 2025 said, “I warmly welcome Sunil to lead the next phase of growth. I am confident that under his leadership, the company will strengthen its contribution to shaping a more sustainable and prosperous future.”
Outlining his vision, Kataria said his focus will be on unlocking value across the company’s diverse portfolio by investing in capability building, strengthening go-to-market execution and scaling up high-potential businesses.

Kataria’s appointment marks the successful completion of a smooth leadership transition at Godrej Agrovet, reaffirming the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and improving farmer livelihoods.
