JAMMU, Sept 16: Leader of Opposition, Sunil Sharma, has urged the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir seeking postponement of the forthcoming Munsiff and 10+2 lecturer post examinations being conducted by the JKPSC.
In this regard Sharma has written a letter to the Lt Governor seeking his immediate intervention in the matter.
In his communication, Sharma highlighted the serious difficulties being faced by aspirants and students across the Union Territory. He pointed out that frequent landslides, cloudbursts, and road disconnectivity have left large areas cut off, making it extremely difficult for students to reach exam centres. He also drew attention to the poor internet services in many regions, which are preventing aspirants from downloading admit cards and accessing study material. The digital divide and recent natural disruptions, he stressed, have placed students from remote and flood-affected areas at a clear disadvantage.
Expressing concern over the hardships faced by the student community, Sharma urged the LG to intervene and direct the JKPSC to postpone the examinations until the situation improves, so that all aspirants get a fair and equal opportunity to appear.
