JAMMU, Apr 24: Sikh United Front J&K, an amalgam of various organizations, in a tele-conferencing meet conducted under the chairmanship of Sudershan Singh Wazir, Chairman of the Front expressed strong resentment over the decision of the J&K UT Administration with regard to amendment in Reservation Act, rejecting the claim of displaced persons from PoJK.
The senior members Dayal Singh Wazir Chairman Shiromani Akali Dal J&K, Mohinder Singh chief organizer Bhai Kaniya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex Member DGPC Jammu; S. Darbinder Singh president Shiromani Akali Dal J&K and Kulwant Singh Khajuria Joint Secretary Shiromani Akali Dal J&K termed the move as biased and unjustified and totally against the PoJK refugees.
They said all the Refugees organizations have strongly resented Lt Governor’s Notification dated 20th of April 2020 SRO-127 J&K Reservation Act and amendments made by Lt. Governor under rule 2 and rule 4. The Front expressed its reservation before the Prime Minister and Home Minister of India and who asked Lt Governor of J&K UT rethink over this amended notification and include PoJK 1947 Displaced persons under Rule 4 of Para C of Pahari speaking because virtually POJK Sharnarthi are the community who migrated from P akistan occupied Kashmir due to external aggression in 1947 and not at their own sweet will.
All the organizations in one voice appealed to the Lt Governor either to withdraw this biased notification or it should be amended forthwith and a new notification be circulated including of PoJK 1947 DPs into it, failing which all the refugees organizations have decided to launch an agitation as soon as the corona virus lock down ends.

Kuldeep Kour President Istri Kali Dal, Smt.Gurmeet Kour general secretary Istri Akali Dal, Manmohan Singh, Sukhdev Singh and others.
