NEW DELHI, Aug 31:
State-run Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) today hiked the price of subsidised cooking gas (LPG) by Rs 1.97 per cylinder, while raising the price of non-subsidised by Rs 20.50.
A subsidised 14.2-kg cylinder will now cost Rs 425.06 in Delhi as compared to 423.09 previously, the IOCL said in a statement.
This is the third straight increase in a row in subsidised cooking gas. The non-subsidised consumers will now have to pay Rs 466.50 against Rs 487 last.
In case of Kerosene, the Government has allowed the oil firms to raise the price by 25 paise a litre each month for 10 months. However, Delhi has been declared as a Kerosene-free city.
In Kolkata, the consumers will have to pay Rs 17.30 per litre for Kerosene. The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) or Jet fuel has been slashed by Rs 1795.50 per kilolitre. It will now cost Rs 45,411.18 against Rs 47,206.68 previous. (UNI)
