Srinagar, Nov 16: A group of students who were barred from appearing in the 12th class annual examinations today held protest in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.
Thirteen students from Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Nowgam appeared outside Deputy Commissioner’s office in the Anantnag and said that the school authorities denied roll number slips to them, saying ‘they had shortage of attendance’.
“We were told that we can’t appear in examination because of attendance shortage. But earlier there was no such thing. The school authorities have simply ruined our career,” the students said. They demanded that their roll number slips should be issued and allowed to appear in examination.
