MENDHAR, Aug 17: A student was seriously injured in a clash between students in a Mendhar sub-division of Poonch district today.
Police sources said that there was an altercation between two students in Boys Higher Secondary School, Mendhar, which turned into a clash in which one student attacked another with a sharp edged weapon , causing him serious injuries.
The injured student was immediately rushed to the sub-District Hospital Mendhar, where he is undergoing treatment. The victim was identified as Zulfkar Ahmed (17), son of Mohammed Zabir, resident of Gohlad village in Mendhar.
Police has registered an FIR against accused student at Mendhar Police Station.
