Strong evidence against Abu Jundal, claims crime branch official

MUMBAI, July 28:
There is a strong, clinching evidence available against Abu Jundal, who orchestrated the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, with the city Crime Branch and only they can prove his involvement in the attacks, claimed an official in Crime Branch today.
The evidence comprises the intercepts of the telephonic conversation between Jundal and the ten Pakistani terrorists, who carried out the attacks lasting for nearly three days in November 2008, he said.
‘It is only us who have the intercepts of the telephonic conversation between Jundal who gave instructions in Hindi from the Lashkar-e-Toiba’s control room at Karachi in Pakistan and the terrorists who were creating mayhem in Mumbai. No other agency has any evidence to prove Jundal’s involvement in the attacks. Even if they (the other agency) take his voice samples, they do not have the intercepts of the conversations to match it with,’ the source said.
The officer further said that in case the other agencies wanted to match the samples of Jundal’s voice, they would have to first take the intercepts from the Crime Branch. Also, it is not necessary to make the person say the exact words in order to match the voice samples, he added. (UNI)
