JAMMU, Apr 5: The dead body of a street vendor was recovered today in mysterious condition from a nallah near TRT Camp, Nagrota in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the body of the deceased vendor was spotted this afternoon by some locals, who informed the police. The police shifted the body of the deceased who has been identified as Gurdayaal Singh (60) son of Sher Singh, a resident of Lane No 1, New Plot, Jammu, to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for post mortem.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Nagrota, where police has started inquest proceedings under Section 174CrPC. The spokesperson further said that the man was in inebriated condition, which may be the cause of the death.
