UDHAMPUR, June 17: Udhampur Police today claimed to have solved a theft case and recovered the stolen water pump motor besides arresting the accused.
The water pump motor was stolen yesterday from the agricultural field of one Karim Khan, son of Sher Mohd of Battal Ballian and the complaint in this regard was lodged at Police Post Battal Ballian, under Police Station Udhampur.
During the course of investigation, the Police team rounded up multiple suspects and one of them, identified as Vijay, son of Gian Chand of Pyan Padder, Battal, Udhampur, confessed to have committed the crime.
Based on his disclosure, the police team recovered the stolen water pump motor. Further investigation into the case is underway.
