RAMBAN, June 9: Ukhral police recovered the stolen idol of Shankhpal Devta Temple.
As per police sources, on June 4, a report was received late night at police post Ukhral that an old stone idol of Shankhpal Devta Temple at Fagmulla, Ukhral has been stolen by thieves.
Accordingly a case under relevant Sections was registered at police station Ramsoo and a special team headed by Incharge police post Ukhral was constituted by SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar to trace the stolen idol and nab the thieves.
On specific information, police team recovered the idol from Fagmula and handed over the same to Mayaram, Priest of Shankhpal Devta Temple.
Manhunt is going on to nab the thieves.
