JAMMU, July 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) have recovered a stolen e-rickshaw worth Rs 3.50 lakh and arrested the accused involved in the theft.
As per officials, a complaint was lodged at Bus Stand Police Station regarding the theft of an e-rickshaw bearing registration number JK02DH-1548 from the Bus Stand area.
Acting promptly, they said, a case was registered and a special team led by SHO Bus Stand Inspector Vikas Dogra was constituted to trace the vehicle.
After sustained efforts, officials said, the police team successfully recovered the stolen e-rickshaw from the Durga Nagar area of Jammu.
The accused, identified as Ajay Sharma of Durga Nagar, was arrested on the spot, they said.
Meanwhile, police have started further investigation into the matter.
