Stolen crusher parts worth Rs 3 lakh recovered, five held

JAMMU, Mar 3: In a major success, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jhajjar Kotli area have arrested five individuals involved in the theft of mobile crusher parts worth Rs 3 lakh. The stolen items have also been recovered from their possession.
A police official said that a theft took place in Shadaali during the intervening night of February 28 and March 1.
Following a complaint by one Ashwani Kumar, son of Isher Dass, a resident of Shadaali, he said, police registered an FIR (No. 31/25) under Section 303(2) BNS.
During the investigation, police detained one Mohammad Mansha of Badsoo.
Upon questioning, he confessed to the crime and disclosed the names of his four accomplices—Razaq Ahmed of Shadaali; Mushtaq Ahmed, Shoaib Ahmed, and Arun Kumar, all residents of Badsoo.
Acting on this information, police recovered the stolen crusher parts and a tipper used in the crime from a forest area near Dansal, said the police official said.
Further investigation into the case is underway, he added.
