JAMMU, Aug 1: Police in Jammu’s Janipur area today claimed they have recovered 15 stolen buffaloes worth Rs 7 lakh.
A police official said on August 19, 2025, one Mohammad Shareef of Sangrampur, Marh, reported theft of his buffaloes during the intervening night of August 18-19.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 134/2025 under sections 331(4) and 305 BNS was registered at Police Station Janipur.
Accordingly, a dedicated team, led by PSI Sandeep Charak under the supervision of SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma, worked tirelessly to track down the stolen buffaloes today from a plot at Dhok Paloura, Jammu, he said, adding that further investigation is underway.
