REASI, June 13: Police today smashed an illicit still and arrested two bootlegger brothers, who were preparing and selling hooch in Ransoo area.
The action was taken after an information was received at Police Station Ransoo that one Baldev Singh son of Kirpa Ram of Sangar Khada Bat Sangar and his brother Karnail Singh were running a still and selling illicit liquor in the village.
The Police party from Police Station Ransoo conducted a raid and caught both the accused on the spot besides recovering three liters of hooch. 30 liters of lahan was also recovered on the spot and destroyed on the spot while still, apparatus, pipes utensils etc were seized.
In this connection, case FIR Number 10/2020, under Section 48 (a) (e) was registered at P/S Ransoo and investigation has been started.
The operation was conducted by SHO Ransoo, Inspector Arun Singh, under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs. Reasi Waseem Hamdani and Addl SP Reasi, Surjeet Kumar Bhagat.
