State Govt constitutes UIDIC

JAMMU, July 25: The J&K Government has accorded sanction for constitution of State Unique Identification Implementation Committee (UIDIC), headed by Chief Secretary as the Chairman and comprising of 21 members.
The committee shall take all decisions related to implementation of the Unique Identification project in the State with respect to entering into a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Unique Identification Authority of India, finances, procurements, engaging manpower, hiring consultants and to roll out  the projects in the State.
Further, the UIDIC shall  co-ordinate, monitor and resolve issues relating to the implementation of the UID project; provide necessary suggestions to all the concerned for successful implementation of the projects; facilitate transfer of any data/database related to villages, Panchayats, individuals, target families under State/Centrally sponsored schemes like PDS, MGNREGA, Government Insurance Schemes, Pensions etc for implementation of the project; synchronize the activities of NPR surveys/enrolment process and assigning of UID numbers to the residents of the State and co-ordinate, monitor and resolve the issue arising out of sharing of State database with UIDAI/RGI.
The committee shall comprise of   Financial Commissioner Industries & Commerce Department, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister,  Administrative Secretaries of  Planning & Development Department, PDD, H&UDD, Finance, GAD, IT Department, Labour & Employment Department, Social Welfare, Health & Medical Education, Revenue, PHE I&FC, Transport, CAPD, Law Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, Director Census Operation J&K, State Information Officer, NIC J&K, representative of Dy Director  General UIDAI Regional Office, Chandigarh and any other member as per the requirement.
