RAJOURI, Aug 8: Minister for Transport, Abdul Ghani Kohli today asked the authorities to immediately take up civic works and improve power supply scenario in Kalakote town.
The Minister while addressing a public gathering in Kalakote – his home constituency, asked the municipal authorities to immediately start renovation of lanes and drains. He also directed for improvement in power supply and augmentation of drinking water.
He directed the PDD to replace the existing transformers with higher capacity where ever required so that improved electricity supply is provided to the people. He asked the officers of line departments to maintain close liaison to ensure timely completion of developmental works.
Listing the developmental works started in the Kalakote constituency, the Minister said that the area was all set to witness unprecedented development in the coming days.
Later, the Minister chaired a meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti where BMO apprised him about the functioning of local health institutions and achievements made under different schemes during the current financial year.
The BMO also informed the Minister about the shortage of staff. The Minister assured to take the matter with the concerned authorities.
