JAMMU, Jan 9: The general and para-medical staff of the Super Specialty Hospital, Jammu staged protest demonstration in the hospital complex, here today.
The staff including nurses and para-medical employees besides others, struck their work during the mid-day today and started protest demonstration in the complex. They were protesting against the decision of the Government to attach Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr Reyaz Ahmed. They termed it as conspiracy against the medico and demanded an independent inquiry.
The staff demanded that Dr Reyaz be brought back and Government should withdraw its decision. With the strike, the normal functioning in several units and wards of the hospital was affected. They however, later returned to their duty.
