SAMBA, Feb 17: Continuing series of meetings to build strong bonding between police and public, SSP Samba Varinder Singh Manhas today held a meeting at village Palai in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba which was attended by a large number of prominent persons, youth and locals of the area.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss/acquaint with the problems of the general public of the area and to develop a sense among the general public that police is committed for the safety & security of its citizens and is very much concerned to readdress their genuine issues.
During the meeting, the SSP assured the participants about the commitment of District Police Samba to its fight against the crime and to provide safe and secure environment to the law abiding people.
He warned strict action against the people indulging in drug trafficking, bovine smuggling and other criminal activities. Besides this, he appealed the participants to assist the police in its efforts to weed out the menace of drug abuse from society and inform about any suspicious movement in their areas.
During the course of meeting, the SSP Samba patiently heard the problems/issues highlighted by the participants and assured them that their genuine problems shall be redressed.
